Isn’t Life Strange?

About 30 minutes ago, the mayor of Galveston held a news conference from her bunker she shares with her staff and emergency personnel during hurricanes. It was announced in that press conference that forty percent of Galveston’s residents decided to stay at home and weather the storm. God help them.

There is another story about a man somewhere in Galveston or in a community along the Galveston Bay, trapped by the water and sitting on his front porch. He was told that it is impossible for emergency services to get to him, and that he should write his social security number on his arm.
