Adventures in Walt’s World, Part 2
Published December 1st, 2008 in Journal, Jeff's Photographs, DisneyIt was nice waking up and remembering that I was at Disney World. Taking my time, I strolled to the food court here at the All Star Music Resort and had a filling breakfast. By the time I returned to my room, Mousekeeping had already cleaned my room.
I decided to go to the Magic Kingdom today. So did thousands of other people. I remember complaining last year about how many people were in the parks. Last year’s crowds were small compared to what I have seen so far. I wouldn’t say the park was packed, but there were a lot of people roaming about.
I saw the following attractions:
- Pirates of the Caribbean (only a 5 minute wait!!)
- The Liberty Square Riverboat (a real steam engine riverboat!)
- The Tomorrowland Transit Authority
I also walked around the entire park, had conversations with a few folks, got dizzy WATCHING people ride the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, and enjoyed one of these…

I didn’t have a dinner reservation tonight, but I ended up over at Raglan Road at Downtown Disney, an Irish themed restaurant/pub. I had been there twice before and decided it was better than some of my other options for dinner. While it isn’t the best place here, it certainly isn’t the worst place to be if you’re looking for somewhere to dine on short notice. I ordered a cup of tonight’s soup, a creamy “tomato gin” soup, and Fish and Chips. I enjoyed it all. The fish was tasty without being greasy. Would I recommend this restaurant? Yes, but only if you have nowhere else you would like to be.
Here’s a pic from today. You can see more here.
