It was a chilly day here today. Most people wore sweatshirts or jackets. I wore blue jeans and a Hawaiian shirt.

I decided to go back to Epcot today. For whatever reason, I am excited about taking pictures and have spent much of my time doing just that over the past couple of days.

While at Epcot, I watched the “Impressions de France” film, used a fast pass to ride Soarin’, and on my way out of the park I saw the Spaceship Earth attraction again. I also enjoyed a performance of a very good mariachi band in front of the Mexico pavilion.

Soarin’ is arguably the most popular attraction at Epcot. The time of the stand-by line at 2 PM today was posted at 80 minutes, and Fast Pass distribution was just about finished for the day, meaning that if you got a fast pass at 2, your return time would get you back there near the park’s closing time. Soarin’ is also one of the most exhilarating attractions at Walt Disney World, offering guests the opportunity to experience the sensation of flight over scenic California.

Dinner tonight was at Jiko, a Disney Signature Restaurant in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Jiko is an upscale restaurant with an open cooking area and a stylish dining room. Meals are inspired by African spices and flavors, and the restaurant boasts a large selection of wines from South Africa. I enjoyed a beer from Kenya, the Barbecue Chicken Flatbread, and Chermoula Tanglewood Chicken, served with mashed potatoes with goat cheese. The food was excellent. Omar, my waiter, was friendly and attentive, and very helpful when I had questions about items on the menu. I heartily recommend Jiko, especially if you are dining on one of the Disney Dining Plans.

Here are a couple of photographs. More can be seen here.
