I decided to go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios Theme Park this morning, leaving the Animal Kingdom as the only park I’ve not yet visited on this trip.

As I mentioned in a blog entry after last year’s trip, the Hollywood Studios park isn’t as photogenic as the others, so I didn’t take as many photos as I had the previous two days. I intended to see a couple of the shows there today but that didn’t happen.

Tonight I went to Wolfgang Puck’s Cafe at Downtown Disney. I had been looking forward to eating there as I very much enjoyed my visit last year. In fact, when I made my dinner reservations several weeks ago, I made two for Wolfgang Puck’s. Unfortunately, the food there wasn’t nearly as good as I had remembered. From what I understand, the restaurant is no longer managed by Puck and his company.

I ordered some sushi, a tempura roll - nothing too weird. It was fine, but not up to par with other sushi I’ve had. I ordered a pizza as my main course and was surprised at what was delivered to my table. I was expecting the delicious Italian sausage and red pepper pizza I had last year, with finely ground meat, robustly spiced to mouthwatering perfection. What I got tonight was a pizza with slices of a link sausage. That might not have been bad, but the sausage was bland and without much flavor. The thin crust and cheese was quite tasty, but overall I was disappointed in the meal as it did not live up to my expectations.

It’s sad to see a good place go downhill like that.

After dinner, I went to Epcot to see the fireworks show. On my way to the World Showcase, I took a trip to Mars on Mission Space, and took another spin on the Test Track. My wait in line was very short - only about 5 minutes for Mission Space, and only a couple of minutes for Test Track. Gotta love that!

Here’s a photo from today. You can see more here.
