Instinct Photo

As a follow-up to my review of the Samsung Instinct, here is a photo I took a few minutes ago with the phone and then uploaded to my Photobucket account.  The quality isn’t great, but not bad at all for a phone.

I added four more lake photos to my flickr photostream.  Feel free to take a look.

I didn’t want to leave the lakeside cottage this morning but as they say, all good things must come to an end.
I snapped a few photos before I left and made my way to Wichita Kansas.
As I’ve said, I had a fantastic time on this vacation. The time spent in Minnesota, at a […]

Tomorrow morning I’ll be leaving the cottage and beginning my journey back to the Lone Star State.  Ugh…
It’s not that I don’t want to go home.  I just don’t want to leave.  The weather is cool but getting warmer, trees are beginning to show signs of blooming, and fishing season just started.
And then there’s […]

Big Ole!

If Alexandria Minnesota has a landmark or a symbol, it would be Big Ole, most likely the largest fiberglass statue of a Viking ever built.  Big Ole has been here for many years, at least as long as I have been coming here since I was a child.  He has been moved several times and […]

With only a few more days left here at the family cottage in Minnesota, I am trying to enjoy my time here as much as I can.
There’s not much excitement going on here.  This is a vacation to get away from the city and enjoy the peace and quiet.  Fishing is usually a big […]

It has been a bit overcast and a mixed bag for weather over the past few days.  I’m not complaining, but the sun today sure is nice, especially since it rained steadily all day yesterday.
Here are a couple of photos I took earlier today.  Click on a photo if you would like to see […]

I’ve been enjoying my time away from home.  Being here at the lake is fantastic, and it is the best place I’ve found where a man can enjoy real peace and quiet without quite giving up all the creature comforts we are used to having in our lives.
The daytime temperatures have been hovering around […]

It took eight and a half hours in the car, but I made it to the final stop in time for dinner with my parents.  The drive was long but very easy, as traffic was scarce and the speed limit was 75 miles per hour for almost the entire trip.
Words cannot describe how peaceful […]

Into Wyoming

I had originally planned on driving east from Rapid City where I am staying, to see the Badlands National Park today. But I changed my plans this morning and instead drove west in order to visit the Devil’s Tower National Monument in Wyoming.  I am not at all disappointed with my decision.
On the way back […]

I had a good day today.  For now, I’ll just post a few photos and wait until another time to detail today’s adventure.

You can see larger versions of these photos, as well as a few others in my flickr stream.  I’ll soon be adding more photos there as well.

*** UPDATE […]
